Fine Art Printing
The Laboratorium is a photo lab in the heart of Zurich. We specialize in high-quality fine art prints in color and black and white, as well as analog printing techniques.
Our services
-
We print fine art prints in both color and black and white. In addition to classic inkjet prints and archival pigment prints, we also offer an exclusive black and white printing process that uses only carbon pigment inks for fine art prints. These piezography prints are characterized by deep blacks and subtle nuances in the gray tones.

Platinum-palladium prints, photogravure, cyanotype, and Van Dyke brown are among the classic fine art photographic printing processes.
Unlike modern inkjet or C-prints, the image consists of chemically stable or metallic image substances that are embedded directly in the paper.
What all these processes have in common is their artisanal production, which combines traditional photographic techniques with contemporary manufacturing methods.
Van Dyke brown is a silver-based process with warm brown tones and good, but limited, archival stability.
